Online Lubricants’ Barking depot is a busy fast moving operational warehouse and yard, incorporating an operational team working within the warehouse, a team of drivers and vehicles used for Online Lubricants’ own deliveries.

Duties include:

  • Managing the daily workings of warehouse and transport operations.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment within the operation both on and off site.
  • Reporting concerns to operations manager in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring coverage of deliveries (including out of hours).
  • Maintaining '24-hour sheet' as an accurate record of operations at the depot.
  • Ensure accurate picking and loading of vehicles.
  • Maintenance of warehouse and forecourt ensuring kept in tidy and efficient manner.
  • Training of staff (in line with FORS accreditation, currently Silver).
  • Training of staff (i.e. toolbox talks).
  • Maintaining stock security and accurate stock records.
  • Efficient and safe route planning through use of own vehicles and couriers.
  • Upholding standards.

    Fleet management:
  • Recording and rectifying defects
  • Liaising with mechanic for servicing, MOT’s and resolution of defects.
  • Ensuring daily checks & periodical checks are completed accurately.

Experience required:

  • Essential – must be flexible, reliable and willing to learn.
  • Have experience leading a team within a warehouse or transport setting.
  • Be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills and be able to think outside the box.
  • Have good knowledge of transport operations (<3.5T).
  • Have a hands on, CAN DO attitude.
  • Clean driving license preferred.
  • IT Skills (Excel / Word / Outlook).
