Waste Oil

Home Back

Please Follow the Oil Care Code

Unless properly disposed of oil can do serious damage to the environment.

Waste oil can cause immeasurable damage to animal and plant life. Dumping oil down the drain is illegal. Just one litre of oil can contaminate over one million litres water.

Do not hose down an oil spill - absorb the oil with sand, earth, or specialist oil absorbent granules. Do not mix waste oil with other substances as this makes recycling impossible.

Always take used oil to an oil recycling bank or arrange collection via a licensed waste disposal contractor.
